free Fitness classes

MCA’s Community Health will be offering 4 free Fitness classes which will run from JANUARY 7th to MARCH 14th. All classes will be held at the Tsi Snaihne Recreation Center from 5-6 p.m. All levels of fitness are welcome. Mid-Winter Ceremonies

The Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs will be hosting the Mid-Winter Ceremonies beginning on SATURDAY JANUARY 12th to SATURDAY JANUARY 19th. Opening will start at 9 a.m. each day except for the feather dance ceremony which will begin at 7 a.m. If you arrive late please find a seat quietly. All Onkwehonwe are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Akwesasne Food Pantry will be distributing food on THURSDAY JANUARY 17th from 4-6 p.m. at the Mohawk Indian Housing Corp. located at 188 McGee Rd. No one will be turned away on their first visit; on your 2nd visit ID for all household members and proof of address is required. For more information call (518)358-4860.

AMBE Closure

All teaching staff of the AMBE will be participating in a full day of professional development on FRIDAY JANUARY 18th. There will be no school for students. AMBE strives to provide professional development opportunities throughout the school year to their teaching staff.
