Mohawk International Raceway Set for 2013 Season Opener This Friday Night as Mac’s Marina Presents a Full Program

AKWESASNE, NY – After a long off-season, Mohawk International Raceway is ready to get the 2013 season started this coming Friday night as Mac’s Marina Presents a full racing program featuring the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks, Mod Lites and Bandits.
The 358 Modifieds will battle for 25 laps in their opening night main event, while the Sportsman and Pro Stocks will battle for 20 laps. The Mod Lites will compete in a 12 lap feature and the Bandits will race for 10 laps to decide their opening night winner.
Pit Gates and Spectator area will open at 4pm. Heat race action will get underway at 7:30pm. Pit Admission is $25 with DIRTcar License and $30 without. Grandstand Admission is only $12 with children 12 and under admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
Racing action continues at MIR throughout May with the first round of the Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” 358 Modified Series on Friday, May 24th, and Hometown Auto – Driver Autograph Night on Friday, May 31st.
Mohawk International Raceway is located in Akwesasne, NY, midway between the Seaway International Bridge to Cornwall, ONT and the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. From Route 37, turn south onto Frogtown Road. Racing is held on Friday nights at 7:30 PM from May through September, featuring the Frenchie's Chevrolet DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks, Mod Lites as well as the Bandit division.
